The Big Wide World

Hey up, I have found out what is on the other side of the door! I have seen the others disappear out through the little plasic flappy thing but I have no idea how they do it. They must know some magic spell that I don't know that lets them pass throguh solid objects. Maybe I will have the magic one day.

Anyway, back to my story. The slaves opened the door for me a couple of days ago and I went through it. I tell you, it's HUGE out there. In fact, the first time I went out it was so huge that I made sure that I stayed close to the open door so that I could rush back in when a car or tractor went past. I seem to remember a bit about this part of the barn from when I was a baby but you know what it's like, trying to remember stuff from so long ago makes it a bit hazy. There is a load of the white stuff, snow I believe the slaves call it, on the floor. It reminds me of something but I don't remember exactly what but it gets me a bit panicky. One of the slaves put me down a long way from the door and so I quickly ran back and wenty to bed.

Anyway, I slept on it and when the slaves opened the door for me yesterday, I knew a bit better what to expect. The snow was still there but seemed to have shrunk. But I was a lot braver. The first time out, I went all the way to the hedge and sniffed at loads of things. I went back in after a while to warm up my paws and to grab a bite to eat. later, the door was open and one of the slaves was sorting out the wood that burns to keep us all war. So I took the opportunity to go out again. This time, I went the other way. I saw Jaffa going through a gap in the wall so I thought, 'hmmm, interesting' and went through. Wow, there was even more top see. I was snuffling about in a big pile of wood when I was picked up and taken in. Apparently, the slave was going out and was worried that I didn't have the magic spell to get back in. Fair enough.

Today, I wasted no time and went straight to the pile of wood because there are a load of really interesting smells there. After a while I got bored and had a mini-scrap with Jaffa and explored behind a big container. Me and Bas had a little chase and I panicked a bit when a car went past. I didn't really know if I could get back to the barn in time so I dived into the woodpile, which seemed like a good place to be. Anyway, I had a bit more of a snuffle round then was taken back in where I had some more food, ran around and then went back to bed with the others.

This was my first attempt, I got a bit stressed and ran in!
